Dartmouth in Central New York held its tenth Annual Christmas Luncheon at the Onondaga Golf and Country Club in Fayetteville, N. Y., on Saturday, December 26, 1959. More than 150 alumni, undergraduates and friends of Dartmouth attended the luncheon program making it one of the most successful affairs ever held in Central New York by an alumni group. Featured speaker was Charles P. Darrow '60, President of the Dartmouth College Glee Club, who discussed the importance of extracurricular activities for the undergraduates. He emphasized that there must be a balance between these outside activities and the main business of college, learning. He also stressed the value of the self discipline that must be practiced in properly allocating one's time while at college.

Jim Scott '40, Club Vice President served as toastmaster for the luncheon and, Club Secretary, Russ Carlson '48 introduced 23 of the area undergrads now on campus. Powell Holbein '40 commented on the Club's enrollment program. Two newly produced films were shown, "Dartmouth Visited" and "Football High-lights of 1959." Also honored were end Seth Strickland '60, who received honorable mention on the AP All-Ivy League and All-East football teams, and Roger Hanlon '60, varsity end and versatile baseball player from Skaneateles, N. Y.

Alumni committee members assisting in the arrangements included John Andrews '29, Cal Sterling '40, Bill McNulty '36, George Hume '54, Richard Spencer '36, Robert Hosmer '32 and Norman Simpson '44.
