An enthusiastic group of braves and squaws from the Charles River region turned out on the evening of December 2 to welcome Head Football Coach Bob Blackman at our annual fall meeting. According to custom the "Pow-Wow" was held in the main ballroom of the Wellesley Country Club and got under way with a Wheelock tavern party at 6:30.
Following dinner President Edward W. Martin '41 called on our treasurer George B. Pierce '45 to say a few words and his report indicated we are still solvent. Your secretary then made a brief report on the activities of the annual club secretaries meeting which took place in November in Hanover. With our business affairs settled the audience settled down and heard Bob Blackman relate many interesting and amusing experiences he encountered with the Big Green football squad this past fall.
The attendance honors were once again carried off by that stalwart class of 1920 now gearing up for its fortieth reunion. The enrollment work is well under way in this area under John B. Kenerson '28 and it is expected the club will entertain a large group of prospective Dartmouth applicants at its annual holiday gathering. The next regular meeting will be held in the spring.
