FOLLOWING in the natural order of things, the great New England icecap is once again well along on its annual retreat northward, and another spring has come around to Hanover and the College. Happily, the duckboards this year seemed to have no sooner been put down than they were taken right back up again, perhaps due principally to what has been one of the shortest "schlump" seasons in some time. And now back with us again also are the most certain of all vernal trademarks, those little green poles which fence off the College walks and lawns.
