On April 8, the Dartmouth Alumni Club of Phoenix and the Valley of the Sun were quite fortunate in having Mr. and Mrs. Joe McDonald, Dean-Emeritus of the College, visit our fair city and speak to our organization. It is through visits of representatives of the College such as Dean McDonald that our fledgling club is able to gain impetus and we think that now it has become a going organization.

Among those present were: Ed Comins Jr. '45; Barbara and John Connor '44: Mr. and Mrs. James D. Felter '46; Mollie and John Flanagan '49; Bill Gilmore '34; Dr. Austin R. Grant '38; Judge Laurens L. Henderson '22, and his wife; Helen and Jack Huntress '33; Lester S. Hoyle '37; Don Lyman '25; Dr. and Mrs. William Meyer '41; newcomers to the Valley, Mr. and Mrs. Duncan Newell Jr. '36; Mr. and Mrs. Frank S. Poor '26; George Nelson '55; Stuart Thatford '32 and his wife; Mr. and Mrs. Ken Todd '32; and Mr. and Mrs. Bud Brown '25 of Bud Brown's Barn fame.

A good time was had by all and invitations are extended by the Alumni Club of Phoenix to any of you who might be traveling through our fair area. We have become necessarily professional escorts during the winter season and can therefore help to make your stay in Phoenix more enjoyable.
