THE COLLEGE
June 1960

SCENES like the one on this month's cover will soon be over for another academic year. Third-term classes end June 3, and for the ensuing five-day exam period students will be pouring in and out of Alumni Gymnasium rather than Dartmouth Hall.

Commencement weekend begins with Class Day on June 10 and ends with the combined baccalaureate and graduation exercises on Sunday morning, June 12. The Class of 1910 will be back that weekend for its fiftieth reunion, and nine other alumni classes will keep Hanover jumping the following week with reunions ranging from the fifth to the fortieth. The Classes of 1920, 1929, 1930 and 1931 will take over during the first half of Reunion Week; the 25-year class of 1935 will arrive on Thursday, June 16; and 1950, 1954, 1955 and 1956 will join them the next day to round out a week that, according to all advance signs, will see record alumni turnouts. Continuing what has now become almost a standard part of a modern alumni reunion, lectures and panel discussions on education and world issues will take place throughout Reunion Week. These will be sponsored jointly by Hanover Holiday and the Classes of 1929, 1930, 1931 and 1935.
