Treasurer of the Year
June 1960

John Fenno '48 was honored as Class Treasurer of the Year at the May meeting of Dartmouth class officers in Hanover, May 13, and on that occasion was cited as follows:

In each of the seven years that you have been treasurer of the Class of 1948 you could, with good reason, have been singled out for the honor that is paid you tonight. Exponent and exDounder of the Class Group Subscription Plan, which you operated as ALUMNI MAGAZINE business manager for two years after graduating from Tuck School, you jumped 1948 to 90% coverage in your first year as treasurer, and from then on you have maintained virtually 100% coverage of the entire class.

Your record of dues collections has been consistently strong. This year's mark of 64% is not only 1948's best to date but also highest among the classes in the '40s and one of the highest among all the classes of large membership. Your financial stewardship has been exemplary, characterized by constant effort to do even better, and giving your class a solid foundation for successful activities.

We salute you for this year's accomplishments, but it is also with awareness of a consistently fine performance for seven years in a row that we honor you as Dartmouth Class Treasurer of the Year.
