At the inauguration of Val H. Wilson as president of Skidmore College on October 11, Dartmouth College was officially represented by Richard W. Morin '24, Librarian of the College.

At other installations last month, Andrew M. Scott '45 of Haverford, Pa., represented Dartmouth at the inauguration of Hugh Borton as president of Haverford College; Alex D. Chisholm Jr. '36 of Marquette, Mich., at the inauguration of Edgar L. Harden as president of Northern Michigan College; Frederic H. Bontecou Jr. '45 of Millbrook, N. Y., at the inauguration of Donald A. Eldridge as president of Bennett College; Ford S. Barrett Jr. '25 of Spokane, Wash., at the inauguration of The Very Rev. Edmund W. Morton, S.J., as president of Gonzaga University; Mayor Will Nicholson '22 of Denver at the inauguration of Eugene E. Dawson as president of Colorado Woman's College; William G. Johnson '22 of Clarksburg, W. Va., at the inauguration of Stanley H. Martin as president of West Virginia Wesleyan College; Thomas H. Armstrong '45 of Jacksonville, Ill., at the dedication of Mac Murray College for Men; and Robert W. Smith Jr. '25 of Greensburg, Pa., at the inauguration of John Pidgeon as headmaster of Kiskiminetas Springs School.

On November 9, Prof. John P. Amsden '20 will represent the College at the inauguration of Richard Glenn Gettell as president of Mount Holyoke College.

At two other academic events last month, Joseph W. Gannon '99 of West Hartford, Conn., represented Dartmouth at the convocation marking the 25th anniversary of the founding of St. Joseph College; and Takanobu Mitsui '43 of Tokyo was official delegate of the College at the convocation celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan.

Alumni representing Dartmouth at earlier events were: September 24, Prof. John D. Wright Jr. '42 of Transylvania College, Lexington, at the inauguration of Frank Graves Dickey as president of the University of Kentucky; July 1, Stephen J. Dorsey '35 of the U. S. Embassy at Beirut, Lebanon, at the inauguration of John P. Leonard as president of the University of Beirut; June 8, Prof. Joseph J. Hill '41 of the State University of New York Medical Center, Brooklyn, at the dedication of the new Basic Sciences Building; and May 8, James G. Lecce '49 of Raleigh, N. C., at the inauguration of William C. Friday as president of the Consolidated University of North Carolina.
