Charles F. Moore Jr. '25 (left), vice president for public relations of the Ford Motor Company, presented to President Dickey in June a check for $25,000. It was an unrestricted gift to Dartmouth as part of the Ford Motor Company's program of grants to colleges and universities. Mr. Moore is a trustee of the Ford Motor Company Fund.

Dartmouth was one of ten institutions to receive grants in the second year of the Fund. The Ford program is providing grants totaling $1,000,000 over a four-year period to leading colleges and universities. The Fund, supported by contributions from the Ford Motor Company, is not related to the Ford Foundation.
