Walter de Hoog '49 wrote the script of the 25-minute color film, Robert Frost, which has been released through United World Films and is available for rental from Dartmouth College Films. Produced by the U. S. Office of Information, the film takes its viewers to the Vermont home of the poet and shows how he lives and works. Frost's "saying" of some of his own poems is a highlight of the film.
A Time of Migration, an educational film about the drama of inland spawning of the freshwater herring, has been sensitively photographed by Gregory Knowles '55. Based on John Hay's book, The Run, the film was produced by Potomac Films, Inc., and has been widely praised. Narrated by John Daly, it will be seen in schools, theaters, and on television.
