Two of the authors of books on the General Reading List are lecturing to the freshmen and sophomores this year. Prof. Giorgio de Santillana of M.I.T., who wrote The Crime ofGalileo, spoke to the freshman class on September 22. Robert L. Heilbroner, author of The Future of History, will lecture to both classes on November 30.
On October 19, Prof. Carl G. Hempel of Princeton discussed J. Bronowski's Science and Human Values in a lecture for sophomores, and on February 22 Prof. Eliseo Vivas of Northwestern University will discuss D. H. Lawrence's Sons and Lovers in a lecture for both classes.
