Carl Shumway has another grandchild. Peter Warren Shumway brought his eight pounds, nine ounces to Peter Shumway's house in New York. The family moved or are to move soon to Garrison, N. Y.
Milt Aronowitz from Albany, in town for the day; George Steele and Warde Wilkins attended the Boston dinner on March 24 for Class Agents at the University Club.
It is with great sadness we record the death of Laurence Clark Stoddard on March 13, at his home in Jamaica, N. Y., from a heart attack, and that of Henry Hovey Nutt on April 7 at the Jewish Hospital in Brooklyn, N. Y., after a long illness. Memorials will appear in a later MAGAZINE.
Nat and Barbara Merrill announce the arrival of Henry Gordon Merrill on February Hi in New York. Nat was the last minute substitute for the stage manager of "Turan- dot" at the Metropolitan and did another great success production. He had already had rave press notices for "L'Elixir d'Amore" and "Il Trovatore" with Leontyne Price and Frances Corelli.
Harry Semmes was presented with a plaque honoring his services to St. Francis Episcopal Church in Potomac, Md., on February 2. He is the retiring senior warden. The affair was held at a dinner in Chevy Chase.
Milt and Gretchen Aronowitz leave in June for a trip to Belgium, other European countries and Israel, returning via Spain.
Jiggs Donohue's son, who had been with him in his Lowell office, is now at the White House working long hours a day for President Kennedy. Joe Jr. is in Dallas, Texas, and another son is in Chicago.
Dave Morey was in Boston recently up from Martha's Vineyard, a picture of health. He and his wife are planning on the Fiftieth to be there without fail.
Warde Wilkins retired on May 1 after 47 years with the New England Insurance Ex- change and the New England Fire Insurance Rating Association. He will make his home now in Andover, N. H.
