On Thursday evening, May 31 the Dartmouth Club of Maine held its annual meeting in the Cumberland Club on High Street, Portland. Officers re-elected for the coming year were Bernard Lewis ’52, president; John Pierce ’54, vice president; Arthur Peabody’44, treasurer, and Reynolds E. Moulton’35, secretary. Nominating committee was composed of E. Allan McLean ’31, chairman, and Frederick Armstrong ’29, and W. Bradford Chase ’36.
President Bernard Lewis reported that the Glee Club would be with us for a joint concert with Westbrook Junior College on February 21, 1963. He also made a per- sonal report on our Scholarship Fund and appointed a committee to study our dues situation.
Earlier in the Edward Chamberlain ’36, Director of Admissions of the College, had attended a two-hour meeting with Dart- mouth representatives and guidance coun- cilors in the Greater Portland area. This idea was very well received by local edu- cators. At the meeting in the evening, Eddy Chamberlain in his own inimitable fashion told us about the physical changes on the Dartmouth campus and the problems faced by an admissions officer.
