In the eyes of the skiing fraternity, more numerous than ever despite the demands of the three-three curriculum, there was nice symbolism in the arrival of the first foot of snow on Valentine's Day, after six weeks of ice and piddling little snow flurries. Since then the snow has continued to pile up, and unless ca- lamity strikes in the form of a deluge of rain, the skiers should be kept happy right up until spring vacation begins on March 15.
