The election of nine new members of the Dartmouth Alumni Council and the reelection of five present members is announced by Sidney Hayward '26, secretary of the Council. All were nominated by alumni clubs in their respective reckons and were in general declared elected for two-year terms following the dosing of nominations on March 10. Election results from the various districts in the seven Alumni Council Regions are as follows:

Region I (New England States), District 1: Lane Dwinell '28 of Lebanon, N. H., elected to fill an unexpired term of one year; District 2: John K. Benson '31 of Boston elected for a first term; District 3: Dr. Erwin C. Miller '2O of Worcester elected for a first term.

Region II (Middle Atlantic States), District 2: Carl H. Funke '35 of New York reelected for a second term; District 3: William L. Hoffmann '36 of Newark, N. J., reelected for a second term; District 4: Victor C. Smith '17 of Philadelphia elected for a first term.

Region III (Central States), District 1: William F. Steck '3l of Cleveland elected for a first term; District 3: Thomas G. Murdough '26 of Chicago elected for a first term.

Region IV (Middlewestern States), District 2: Stuart L. MacPhail '4O of Minneapolis elected to fill an unexpired term of one year; District 3: Leo M. Ungar '20 of Council Bluffs, lowa, reelected for a second term.

Region V (Southern States), District 1: N. Page Worthington '33 of Baltimore reelected for a second term.

Region VI (Southwestern States), District 1: Edwin J. Spiegel Jr. '42 of St. Louis reelected for a second term.

Region VII (Western States), District 1: Kenneth A. MacDonald '39 of Seattle elected for a first term; District 2: David P. Smith '35 of San Francisco elected for a first term.

Academic Delegates

Dartmouth was represented at academic ceremonies recently by the following alumni:

Dr. Thomas L. Norton '23, of Scarsdale, N. Y., at the installation of Richard Franklin Humphreys as President of The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, February 12.

Charles F. Tower '28, of Wellesley, Mass., at the inauguration of Henry August Kriebel as President of Babson Institute, February 9.

William S. Friedlander '51, of Hudson, Wis., at the inauguration of William Jordan Michaels as President of Stout State College, March 13.
