Twenty-nine Dartmouth graduates are now serving overseas as Peace Corps Volunteers. This is the highest percentage relative to total enrollment of any Ivy League institution. These 29 men are serving with distinction in 17 different countries. They are offering remarkable support from what a New Hampshire legislator once called "a small college." But, like Daniel Webster, we at the Peace Corps believe Dartmouth College represents something greater than mere size or numbers. Dartmouth means the kind of support and student interest the Peace Corps must have from the American university community if we are to continue to grow and to serve effectively overseas.
