The club executive committee for the 1963-1964 season is as follows: President, Allen I. Bildner '47; Vice-President, AndrewF. Grunninger Jr. '46; Secretary, Thomas J.Swartz Jr. '49; Treasurer, Peter H. Bixby'51; Membership & Attendance, Roland T.Addis Jr. '54; Program & Entertainment, Herbert J. Hillman Jr. '54; and Enrollment, James D. Elleman '43.
The above listed committee under the leadership of our most capable president, Al Bildner, has been hard at work since last summer. It was decided at the committee's first meeting that the number one goal of the club this year was to build membership. The membership and attendance committee has done an excellent job through personal contact and a telephone campaign to raise our attendance to the highest level to date ever achieved in the area. All those alumni in the area who have not as yet become dues paying members are encouraged to contact any of the officers and help us to build for Dartmouth in our home state.
The club had a most successful football smoker on Thursday evening, November 7, at the Rock Spring Corral in West Orange, at which time Associate Athletic Director Seaver Peters spoke, showed football movies, and seemed to help push our football fortunes back on the upswing again. Scheduled for the first half of 1964 are our annual dinner meeting March 19, with a speaker from the College, plus our annual family picnic at Bill Blanchard's '30 in New Vernon later in the spring. We are also planning a big turnout for Dartmouth Day at the New York World's Fair on May 23, details of which will follow shortly.
Last, but far from least, our enrollment program under Jim Elleman '43 is running very smoothly. Jim reports that 29 boys matriculated from the club area last September which is a fine record and one direct result of his committee's work with the high school guidance programs.
