The ABC network show "Hootenanny," shown on Saturday night, will be filmed at Dartmouth on Winter Carnival weekend, February 7-8, and will be shown one week later, on February 15. Two shows will actually be filmed in Webster Hall on Friday and Saturday of Carnival, and the second one will be used on the network later, probably in May.
The NCAA ski championships to be held at Dartmouth on March 5-7 will also be put on video tape and will be shown for one hour on Sunday afternoon, March 8. The meet will be televised by Sports Network Inc. of New York. Stations carrying the program have not yet been announced, and alumni are advised to check their local TV program guides.
Dartmouth's "Alumni Fun" team, having won its January 26 match with Marquette, will be back on the nation's TV screens in March. Dartmouth's alumni team consists of U. S. Congressman Thomas B. Curtis '32, actor Robert Ryan '32, and Sylvester (Pat) Weaver '30, president of McCann-Erickson International and former president of NBC.
Mr. Ryan, in company with Sanford Gottlieb '46, was in Hanover January 14 to speak at a public meeting of the Dartmouth Community Committee of SANE. He is a board member of the national SANE organization, sponsors of a nonpacifist program of nuclear disarmament. Mr. Gottlieb is SANE's political action director.
