This small, but loyal group was host to the Dartmouth Glee Club April 1, 1964. The Club was on their way to Richmond, Va., and stopped to sing for us. Queens College, an all-girls' school, graciously let us use their facilities and arranged for the boys to have supper with the girls!! Needless to say the Club enjoyed the meal. The help and cooperation of the people at Queens made this stopover a success.
The alumni and their friends enjoyed the concert. It's not often that we Dartmouth men in the Tar Heel State get a chance to talk with students from school.
It is a bit of a problem for a small group to find beds for 60 boys but we managed, thanks to men like Dennis Lacoss '59, president of the Charlotte group, Earl Arthurs'35, and his non-alumni friends. Cliff Watson '22, Bill Tindall '58, Jim Yail '50, Charlie Main '38 and many more.
We try to meet about every other month. Our next meeting will be a cook-out at the river cabin of Del Billings '46, wives included. This will be a most welcome change from our down town restaurant. If you're in the Charlotte area give Bob Perkins '43 a call, maybe you can make one of our meetings.
