Dartmouth Day at the New York World's Fair will be celebrated on Saturday, May 23. With this as a magnet, a great many alumni with their families are expected to visit the Fair on that special day. The New England Pavilion will be Dartmouth headquarters, and there at 11:30 a.m. on May 23 a brief program will take place, featuring President Dickey, Dean Thaddeus Seymour, and the Dartmouth Injunaires. The Injunaires will sing there periodically throughout the day.
Alumni clubs in the Greater New York area have had the leading role in arranging Dartmouth Day. Michael R. Pender '47, president of the Long Island alumni club and an executive of the New York World's Fair, has been especially active in the planning. Some of the clubs, including the Dartmouth Club in New York City, are selling World's Fair tickets in advance.
