On Monday, March 9, 1964, the Dartmouth Club of Sarasota held an evening meeting at which the Football Highlights of 1963 were shown, and Carl Durfee, Lieutenant of the New Hampshire State Police was guest speaker. President Sumner Emer-son '17 presided. Warren Kendall '99 gave the invocation. That was the last time the members of the Dartmouth Club of Sarasota saw Warren Kendall, for he died the morning of March 13. Elsewhere in the ALUMNI MAGAZINE other writers, perhaps better qualified, will speak of Warren, but this report could not be written without mention of Warren and what he meant to the Sarasota Club and to each of us individually.

Warren Kendall organized the Sarasota Club and served as its first president and, though later he retired from active participation in the affairs of the Club, he was always consulted and until the day of his death, he was known as Mr. Dartmouth in this community. Words cannot express what the loss of Warren means to us and our heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family.

Warren Kendall '99 was a Gentleman of Dartmouth.
