Edward W. Roessler '25 was one of three co-editors in the publication of The Mendhams, published by the Mayor's Tercentenary Committee (Martha G. Hoplar, Edward W. Roessler, Wallace G. West) under the sponsorship of the Township Committee of the Township of Mendham, Morris County, New Jersey, 176 pp., illustrated, $4.00. This tercentenary celebration book begins with the Indians and early "Proprietors" and traces the history of the community to the present day. Special chapters deal with Mendham churches, transportation, industry, education, old houses, and other facets of the community's life.
