Fund Holding Its Hot Pace
JUNE 1964

Dartmouth's 1964 Alumni Fund, pressing on toward its 50th anniversary goal of $1,500,000 by June 30, was close to the million-dollar mark in late May. Totals on May 25 were $935,208 from 11,933 contributors - a gain of $206,941 in dollars and of 1246 in donors over the figures for the same date a year ago. If the Fund can hold this pace in the homestretch month of June, it will celebrate its golden anniversary with a smashing success. Hard work remains, however, if participation by at least 72% of all alumni is to be attained along with the dollar goal. During the past month the dollar margin has held up, but the gain in contributors has shrunk slightly.

As of May 19, the Class of 1938 was leading all classes with a dollar total of $32,137, followed by 1925 with $27,116. In percentage of objective, the leaders were 1907 with 124% and 1914 with 99%. Honors in percent of partici- pation also were held by 1907 with 148%, followed by 1904 with 126% and 1911 with 104%. The younger classes were leading the way in number of contributors, the top two being 1957 with 323 gifts and 1960 with 296.
