Alumni Fund Report
MAY 1965

The 1965 Alumni Fund campaign was more than one-third of the way toward its $1,800,000 goal in late April. Totals through April 26 showed that 7,270 alumni, parents and friends had contributed $692,000. This put the current drive some 335 donors and $14,000 ahead of last year's 50th anniversary campaign on the same date.

Fund Chairman Rupert C. Thompson Jr. '28 expressed concern about the slim margin over last year. "We should now be ahead of 1964 by $50,000 to $75,000," he said, "if we are to achieve our goal, which is up $175,000 over what we raised last year. However, I'm pleased with the results during the past three weeks and hopeful that our lead will increase substantially during May."

Just over 3,500 alumni are serving as Class Agents this spring and their efforts are expected to produce a considerable improvement in results during the next two months of the campaign, which ends officially on June 30.
