The Dartmouth Mountaineering Journal, May 1965, dedicated to Jake Breitenbach '57 who lost his life on a Mt. Everest climb, has been published by the Dartmouth Mountaineering Club.
Edited by Dennis Eberl '65 and Harry Fisher '66, the Journal leads olf with an account by William H. Bassett '62 of the first ascent of 19,850-foot Mt. Logan, the highest peak in the Yukon, by way of Independence Ridge on the north face. Other articles, many illustrated with dramatic photographs, ranging geographically from the Grand Tetons to wild Santiaguito in Guatemala were written by Frederick W. Medrick '62, Richard E. Stoiber '32, Mr. Eberl, Professor of Geology R. C. Reynolds Jr. (faculty adviser to the Club), George B. Billings '62, David Laing '62, and Bill Van de Graaff '65.
