Dartmouth can now boast of an exceptional motion picture projection facility in Fairbanks Hall. This is due in large part to the guidance and hard work of two alumni brothers, Robert Gitt '63 and William Gitt '53. This summer Bill came up from New Jersey to work with Bob, currently Technical Director in the College's Office of Instructional Services (providing audiovisual aids for academic offerings), and together they completed the installation of the 35mm twin-projection equipment in the Fairbanks theatre.
Two years ago the Gitt brothers developed the College's 16mm installation. Their labor of love has resulted, according to Blair Watson, Director of the Office of Instructional Services, in a "projection capability unusual, in many respects, to any in a similar-type college."
