Charlotte Ilsley Duncan, widow of our late classmate, Dr. Charles Duncan, died at Exeter, N. H., on May 6, 1967, aged 93 years. A graduate of Radcliffe, she was a brilliant woman and the mother of two daughters, Eleanor, Mrs. Walter P. Brockway and Margaret, Mrs. Howard E. Short, both Radcliffe graduates, and Laurence I. Duncan '27, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of New Hampshire. The Class of '98 shares with them in the memory of so fine a heritage.
Goldsmith H. Conant died at Carlisle, Mass., on July 29, 1967. He was with the class for but one year and took no interest in it or the College thereafter.
Catherine Carney writes that Joe has been in poor health for eight years. His heart condition required putting in a pace maker, and he has undergone several operations. However he is able to take short walks at Osterville, Mass., and Catherine hopes they will get to their winter home in Delray Beach, Fla., in November. We share her hopes and send our warmest regards to genial Joe.
Oscar Tabor did a swell job on the Alumni Fund. It is from our widows that many of the gifts come.
No word from Gleason. Fred Lord, our class president, summered as usual in Hanover. Your secretary manages to walk, somewhat haltingly, on his ailing left foot, and with Oscar looks to '68 for our Seventieth.
