We are indebted to the Alumni Records Office for all the news of '98. Mrs. Eda (Goddu) Carter, wife of our classmate, Edward R. Carter, died Dec. 25, 1964. Services were held at the Winchester Unitarian Church. Our deepest sympathy goes to Carter in his great loss.
The Concord Daily Monitor of Friday, Nov. 6, 1964, gave our indefatigable Class Agent a great write-up. With his picture on his inseparable bicycle was this legend: "Boscawen Oldster Still Pedals. Oscar Tabor of Boscawen observed his 88th birthday yesterday by making his usual daily round of the town on his bicycle. Tabor lives at home of his niece, Mrs. Roger Sanborn, and makes several trips daily on bicycle to post office and general store. One of Dartmouth College's oldest alumni, he was graduated in 1898 with an engineering degree. He will attend the college football game at Hanover, Saturday to cheer his team." Might be called an "Oskar" for Oscar! Take it easier, Oscar, and don't shovel snow as your secretary does. How about a word from Carney, Chandler, and Gleason?
