Secretary 16, Place du Marché, 92 - Neuilly S/Seine
The Dartmouth Club of Paris met on June 10. Among those being present were the Charles Carletons '41, the Georges Boswells '39 with one of their children, the Ted Steinerts '56, the Addison Luces '53, and the Bertrand Pineau-Valencienne '59.
After spending a most pleasant afternoon visiting two beautiful chateaux in the countryside near Paris, the Chateau de Champs, a state-owned castle used at times for visiting chiefs of state, and the Chateau de Guermantes, a privately owned estate, we decided to have dinner in a little restaurant, well known for its "cuisine" on the Marne river. Our treasurer, Georges Boswell '39 announced that he and his family would be returning to the United States toward the end of June to settle there permanently. We bid farewell to them with the hope of seeing them again in not too far a distant future.
Then, Charles Carleton '41, who did a great deal during his term as president for the club in Paris, asked us to proceed to the election of a new team to be in charge of the Dartmouth Club in Paris for the coming two years. Elected were: President: Ted Steinert '56 replacing Charles Carleton '41; Treasurer: Addison Luce Jr. '53 replacing George Boswell '39; Secretary: TonyField '61 replacing Bertrand Pineau-Valen-cienne '59. Our congratulations and our best wishes to the new team.
