Contrary to popular belief, the printed addresses (the one due north, for example,) do not function merely as an occupier of space and, therefore, a subtle cut-off for overzealous class secretaries. Rather, the addresses are meant to be used. East 49th is no exception. I admit it. I am increasingly want of interesting news of you and your goings on. So, oblige me and put pen to paper. No money down, except the 22 cents. Must I beg?

As for what's currently hangin', Wendy Brooks writes that she has been on the road again as an assistant production manager for the Pretenders, a welcome respite, she says, from her more stationary job as production assistant with Bill Graham. And Tim Guiles, now living in Boston, was also on the road recently in Germany to be exact working on a machine which will measure computer chip designs to "30 nanometer accuracy." And to think some of us are still using rulers ....

Holly (Burks) and Paul Becker are faring well in New Jersey. Holly is reveling in her new job in admissions at the Lawrenceville School, overseeing the introduction of coeducation. (Who better than a Dartmouth woman? I ask you.) And Paul has continued to make terrific progress after a car accident last year set him back a bit. They report in that Paul is undergoing major therapy from one of the most reliable and effective of therapists around: a new lab puppy. Keep it up, both of you. We're pulling for you.

Marji Grant has moved to Virginia and is with Phillips publishing in Maryland as a new managing editor of three financial newsletters. She'll be putting out 16 newsletters a year we'll check her consistency on interest rates and keep you posted. TadDonnan has decided an M.B.A. might indeed be handy and has started classes at night. Look for him in the Seattle personals.

Continuing on out west, J. Matthew Tanaka recently married Miriam McCullock. They are living in Anchorage, both working as civil engineers, and both are graduates of Montana State. Other nuptial arrangements to announce: Jay Hole married Maureen McCarthy last October. Jay is currently with Sohio. No further details. And TheoPozzy was married last October in Portland, Maine, to Elenita Pacillo. They are living in Lyme. Theo is the owner/VP of Corporate Microsystems Inc. in Lebanon. Word also has it that Shep Burr was married in January.

Finally, kudos to Greg Clow, art director at Hill, Holliday Advertising in Boston, who is winning his share of awards in the industry. He recently won the top print ad award in the Financial Services Division of the Clio Awards (the Oscars of advertising) for the John Hancock account. He just took over responsibility for L. L. Bean, so keep your eyes peeled in the national magazines. No cut rate on boots. I've already asked.

Hope the '87 vernal equinox was one to remember. Sayanara for now and drop me a line.
