OPERATION INDIAN
The Dartmouth Club of Baltimore is undertaking a rather large task next fall and the project is rapidly taking shape under the direction of Howard Van Riper '38. The Big Green football team will play Navy at Annapolis on October 3 and "Operation Indian" will help to make it one of the biggest and best Dartmouth weekends seen in these parts in many a moon.
We have rented the S.S. Tolchester for October 3 and are sponsoring a Dartmouth "cruise" between Baltimore and Annapolis. It ought to be a natural as we understand that there is NO train service either direct or indirect between Baltimore and Annapolis. The S.S. Tolchester has a normal capacity of 2200. However, we plan to limit the reservations to 1400. An orchestra will be on board and food and set-ups will be available for those who are unable to survive 011 Dartmouth Spirit alone. The boat will leave Baltimore at 10 A.M. and dock between 30 minutes and one-half hour before game time within one block of the Stadium. The boat will return to Baltimore about a half hour after the game.
We hope to enlist the support of the Dartmouth clubs in New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Philadelphia and Washington to make this a tremendous success.
The cost will be $3 a person, tax included, which will include the round-trip boat lare, dancing, gangway prizes and all of the extras. It is essential that we hear from all interested Dartmouth supporters and friends as soon as possible. Requests tor boat tickets snould be sent to George V. Parkhurst '30, 1214 Munsey Bldg., Baltimore 2, Md. Telephone: Lexington 18.15. Also, if you are going to auend the game next fall write "BOa I" on the lace of your football ticket application and your tickets will be located in the looting section. Please make your arrangements lion, as the filial arrangements must, by necessity, be made long Delore October 3.
Oilier news of the Dartmouth Club of Baltimore: We had a very fine turnout lor our April meeting and had the pleasure of hearing from brock Brower '53, who spent his spring vacation touring the country talking to various alumni clubs. We're certainly indebted to Brock Lor a very enjoyable evening.
