Dartmouth's 53rd annual Alumni Fund is off to a good start on its biggest challenge ever, the College's first $2 million Fund goal. Just prior to campaign kickoff, the advance gifts and pledges amounted to some $665,000 from more than 2,500 donors.
The record goal for 1967 represents an increase of $100,000 over last year's but is only $63,000 more than the $1,937,000 contributed to the '66 Fund.
The 1967 campaign is being led by Ralph Lazarus '35 of Cincinnati, Ohio, president of Federated Department Stores. Working with him are more than 4,000 head agents (some of whom are featured on the opposite page), class officers, regional agents, and class agents.
