The College has been awarded $71,345 by the National Science Foundation to continue its Graduate Traineeship program here and expand the College's Ph.D. programs. The funds will help implement new Ph.D. programs in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, and Geology Departments starting next fall.
Three new postgraduate trainees will be appointed later, and the work of nine current ones will be supported for another year. The ongoing doctoral programs in mathematics, physics, engineering sciences, and molecular biology have received renewed NSF funds. Other Ph.D. programs in Pharmacology and Physiology are offered at the Dartmouth Medical School.
