Fred C. Scribner '30 was honored as Class President of the Year at the annual meeting of Dartmouth class officers in Hanover, May 13. The following citation accompanied the award:

For more than thirty years you have been honored for service to your party, your profession, your community, you country, and your College. Now it is our honor to recognize your leadership of your Class. Since June 1965, you have directed the activities of the Class of 1930 with outstanding success in many areas. The development of an extensive organization under four regional ana sixteen state chairmen has resulted in enthusiastic Class affairs in California, Illinois, Connecticut, Boston, Washington, and New York. The program of meetings to honor certain educational and professional Class segments and the Special Class Awards merit a special D for dynamics in leadership and initiative.

Your three-a-year schedule of Executive Committee Meetings and the fall reunions result in a class unity that augurs of success in all phases of College support. The sponsorship of the Latin American Art Show last year was a Class project at Hopkins Center which directly advanced the cultural aspects of the College. The establishment of a Committee on Women's Affairs and the proposal to develop plans for a ten-class reunion in the mia-West are worthy of emulation and co-operation.

Surely, this leadership has earned for you the signal honor - Class President of the Year.
