Coach Bill Johnson's 1968 golf squad, which had a brief sojourn in Miami to gain outdoor experience, has unusual depth this spring. Both the varsity and the frosh, who have a 23-man roster in early action, should find success in the win column this year. Barry Simpter, Sandy McWilliams, Jeff LeVeen, and Fred Von Der Lage top the varsity swingers. The opening match of the regular season saw the Green bow to Massachusetts 5-2, while downing the University of Vermont by an identical score. Against Middlebury and St. Anselm's in the meets immediately ahead, Dartmouth should have a chance to test its strength and move into midseason form.
