The 1967 James B. Reynolds Trophy for the outstanding Head Agent of a class 26 to 40 years out of college was presented to William B. (Jim) Swift '31 (r) at the March 27 Alumni Fund dinner in Chicago. Bob Mortimer '47 (1) of the Alumni Fund Committee made the award with this citation:

When the Head Agent's baton was passed to you in 1966, your Class of 1931 had just made its great leap from the $25,000 level to the $50,000 level and it appeared as though your primary job would be to maintain this new level. Characteristically, however, you felt that the Class should and could do even better and that's just what happened. Through effective organization and follow-up you led 1931 to another strong upward surge to rank seventh among all Dartmouth classes in total dollars last year with a $58,000 total. The Alumni Fund Committee speaks for the College in offering its thanks to you and your classmates and is proud to present you with the James B. Reynolds Trophy as the outstanding Head Agent of a class from 26 to 40 years out of College.
