The rejuvenated Eastern New York club wound up its 1968-69 year with a solid success. The annual dinner on May 16 at the Jamaica Inn saw 109 alumni, wives, dates, parents of undergraduates, and other friends of Dartmouth show up to hear Dean Thad Seymour describe the "inside story" of the take-over of Parkhurst Hall. A standing ovation concluded the Dean's talk in appreciation of his service to Dartmouth.

On August 10 a smaller group of recent grads and not-so-recent grads inaugurated a new club custom in holding a summer picnic in one of the pastures belonging to Dr. Lyon M. Greenberg '54, Club President. The Greenbergs were gracious hosts and the band of club regulars departed well fed from the plentiful picnic vittles and well exhausted from the furious coed Softball game. The newest alumnus at the affair was Garry Giebel '69 and the senior honors went, as usual, to Dr. Milton Aronowitz '13. Two other club stalwarts on the scene were Win Weser '23 and Judge Milton Alpert'32.

The Club's financial statement at the end of the fiscal year, June 30, is indicative of the upsurge in Dartmouth interest in the Albany-Schenectady-Troy area. A new high of 114 paid up members was reached. This is approximately 40 percent of the alumni in the area and represents a 135 percent increase in dues-paying members over the previous year. The club officers are now making plans for an even more dynamic year during 1969-70.
