The Dartmouth at Michigan Alumni Club held its annual dinner extravaganza on April 1 at the Canopy in Brighton, Mich. "Best ever," commented retiring president RichardSayler '66 (who had cleverly delegated responsibility for this caper to Milo White'55). The membership echoed those sentiments; no one came away hungry from lie smorgasbord. (The names of those returning for a third helping have been conveniently forgotten.) It can also be reported that no one came away thirsty from the cocktail hour either.

Honored guests were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong, hockey coach at Ann Arbor Pioneer High School, is the 1968-1969 recipient of the Eddie Jeremiah Memorial Cup, presented to the hockey coach of the Michigan Interscholastic Hockey League who most exemplifies the Eddie Jeremiah spirit of coaching. The cup is sponsored jointly by the Detroit and Ann Arbor Alumni Clubs.

It was a treat to welcome the college ski coach, Al Merrill, as guest speaker. Al, suntanned from his western trip, brought a film clip of Dartmouth skiers in action. Unfortunately, the film was wound on the reel in reverse, and with the help of two inept projectionists the projector managed to chew up the ski shots. But the Dartmouth annual film comedy came through unsullied, a biased sample of fall football footage wherein Dartmouth scores 21 carefully documented points and the audience is not reminded by the announcer until the painful end of the contest that the "bad guys" had managed to score an undocumented 46 points.

The new slate of club officials was, as is the custom, voted unanimously into office: President, Ron Schram '66, vice president in charge of enrollment, Milo White '55, executive vice president, Ned May '54, secretary, Dan Weintraub '54, treasurer, Warren Cook'23. Executive Committee: Bruce Benner '49, Ted Haskell '43, Dave Lincoln '61, Martin Lindenauer '54, Mark Sisitsky '67.

" It should be noted once again that the local club is perhaps unique in its state of flux. Nearly half of the membership is composed of graduate, medical, and law school students at the University of Michigan. The Club maintains a low pressure, informal, financially precarious existence. Ann Arborites, call the club secretary if you've missed getting onto the local mailing list. And if you've been an abstainer come join in actively. We meet approximately three times a year.
