The 1968 Harvey P. Hood Trophy given to the Head Agent of a class 11 to 25 years out of college was awarded to Robert L.Woodberry '54. On behalf of Mr. Woodberry, David B. Metz (1) at the Class Agents' dinner in New York on April 8 accepted the award from Fund Chairman Richard D.Lombard '53, who read the following citation:
When you were appointed Head Agent for 1954, we understand that there was some question in the minds of the Hanover staff as to just how you could do your job effectively from Denver, Colorado. They certainly didn't have to worry. Alexander Graham Bell solved your problem many years ago. As one of the Fund's great telephone artists, you built an effective team of Regional Coordinators and Agents, organized intraclass competition among regions, and kept the Hanover staff on their own toes with your calls. Class performance steadily responded to your leadership right up until last year when, at your fifteenth reunion, 1954 joined the other early '50's classes with a $30,000-plus performance.
We understand that your company has recently recognized your leadership ability by making you a vice-president, but we're not far behind in saluting you as the outstanding Head Agent of a class from eleven to twenty- five years out of College and presenting to you this 1968 Harvey P. Hood Trophy.
