The 1968 James B. Reynolds Trophy for the outstanding Head Agent of a class 26 to 40 years out of college was presented to Edwin C. Knapp '33 (1) by Clifford L. Jordan '45 (r) at a Fund Agents' gathering on April 7 in Windsor, Conn. The following citation was read:
When you took over as Head Agent for your Class of 1933 back in 1965, your class had come close to, but never reached, the $30,000 level in the Alumni Fund. That barrier was cracked in your first year and steady improvement followed. The big breakthrough occurred in 1967 when, with the able help of Class President Wes Beattie and the Class Challenge Program, you led 1933 to an increased dollar achievement of almost $10,000 right up to the $45,000 level. You managed to hold the line in 1968, thus proving that the Class had found a new natural level of Fund performance.
The Alumni Fund Committee salutes you, Ed, as the outstanding Head Agent of a Class from twenty-six to forty years out of College and is pleased to award you this James B. Reynolds Trophy.
