THE U. S. House of Representatives on April 29 passed the following Concurrent Resolution (H. Con. Res. 114):

"Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That the Congress sends congratulations and greetings to Dartmouth College on the occasion of the two hundredth anniversary of its founding, and extends the hope of the people of the United States that Dartmouth College will continue to grow and prosper in centuries yet to come."

The resolution had been introduced by Congressman Robert McClory '30 (Illinois) for himself and Congressmen David T. Martin '29 (Nebraska), Herman T. Schneebeli '30 (Pennsylvania), John S. Monagan '33 (Connecticut), Henry P. Smith 3rd '33 (New York), Clark MacGregor '44 (Minnesota), and James C. Cleveland (New Hampshire). Congressmen Cleveland and McClory spoke on the floor of the House before passage of the resolution.
