“Inquiry and Scholarship in the Society of the Seventies” will be the subject of a Dartmouth Medical School Convocation on October 2-3, to be held in conjunction with a meeting of Class Secretaries and the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Alumni Association on October 1. A panel of very interesting and distinguished speakers will hold forth, and there will be ample opportunities for such incidentals as tours and bull sessions. We hope many of you will have read the advance information already sent you, and are planning to be with us.

When first-year classes began on August 31, among the 53 new students were sixteen who are the first Dartmouth M.D. candidates since 1914. Representatives of 23 colleges or universities are in this group, of whom seven are females.

During the reunion weekend last June, the writer was approached by an alumnus who asked why we did not include more news on the older classes. The answer is very simple—members of the older classes do not let us know what they are doing as the younger graduates do. So—write to us occasionally!
