Development Aide Named

Merle H. Hagen '44 of Weston, Conn., has been appointed to the development staff of the College with responsibility for developing resources for the William Jewett Tucker Foundation and its activities.

Mr. Hagen, a native of Berlin, N. H., had been senior research analyst with the New York headquarters of the Pepsi-Cola Co., prior to joining the Dartmouth staff. In addition to his A.B. degree from Dartmouth, he holds a master's degree from the Tuck School and has completed all course work and examinations toward his Ph.D. in education and business administration at Syracuse University.

A navy veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict, Mr. Hagen is presently a captain in the Naval Reserve and recently served as commanding officer of the Naval Reserve Officers School in Stamford, Conn.
