Head AgerU for the Class of 1964, received the John R. Mason Trophy at the New York alumni dinner on March 24 in recognition of his 1970 performance as the outstanding Head Agent of a class from one to ten years out of college. The following citation accompanied the award:

Seldom does the Fund Committee honor a Head Agent after only one year on the job, for this is usually a time of learning and building a strong organization and effective program. You moved ahead, however, from the start, with vigorous and imaginative leadership to build a Class Agent team of 137 men and to record the best improvement of all classes with a 5% donor increase through an extremely successful telephone campaign. Through your efforts 1964 set a new Class giving record, $1300 above last year, and obtained 100 new gifts including 23 from classmates who had never before contributed to the Alumni Fund. In Green Derby competition the Class of 1964 moved from next to last to first place in Group VIII. For these great achievements in your first year as Head Agent and your class' generous response, the Alumni Fund Committee gratefully presents the John R. Mason trophy to you, Roger, as the most outstanding Head Agent of a class from one to ten years out of College.
