In a winner-take-all final contest with Pennsylvania, Dartmouth came from behind to win decisively, 31-17, and capture its fourth straight Ivy League title. The victory at Philadelphia came after another one over Cornell, 31-22, the previous Saturday which set the stage for the champion- ship game.

Dartmouth finished 5-1-1 in the league race, followed by Yale 5-2, Cornell and Penn 4-3, Harvard 3-3-1, Columbia and Princeton 2-4-1, and Brown 1-6.

Penn led 14-0 in the second quarter, but the passing of Steve Stetson and the running of Wesley Pugh and Rick Klupchak evened things before the half ended, and then Big Green offensive and defensive power built up in the second half to kill off the Quakers' title hopes.
