The Dartmouth Club of Phoenix met the first Tuesday of March with plenty of discussion.

Elected as officers for next year were: Dr. Lowell Wormley '27, president; JimPearson '36, vice president; Frank Poor,'26, treasurer; and Bill Terry '13, secretary.,

The annual spring banquet held the evening of March 15. Including wives, 54 sat down to a delicious dinner at the Paradise Valley Country Club, in one of the truly beautiful spots of this area.

Our guest speaker was Alan T. Gaylord, professor of English and Academic Director for the Dartmouth Alumni College. His reputation as a speaker had preceded him and he lived up to it, both in his general talk about Dartmouth as it is today and in fielding the many questions thrown at him.

April 4 was our first regular monthly luncheon with our new president Dr. Lowell Wormley '27 in the "chair."

It was a well attended luncheon including Russ Fischer '17 who is returning to his home in Delaware, and Tom Farwell '26 who has also been enjoying our warm weather. President Wormley reported on the formation of a work placement committee to assist students in getting vacation jobs. He also received unanimous approval of his suggestion to form a committee, made up of representatives of different age groups to determine the real feeling of our members as to present and future policies of the College. This is intended as a helpful rather than a critical thought but with the realization that the alumni body is the only continuous functioning segment of the Dartmouth family, and that without the full support of the alumni, Dartmouth cannot continue to operate successfully.
