The Harvey P. Hood Trophy A

The Harvey P. Hood Trophy was presented to Frederick H. Stephens Jr. (right), Head Agent for the Class of 1953, at the annual dinner of the Boston Alumni Association April 4. Alumni Fund Chairman Robinson Bosworth Jr. '37 presented the award which was accompanied by the following citation:

Fred Stephens is now serving his third year as the 1953 Head Class Agent. During his first two years the Class of 1953 took first place in its Green Derby, and last year the Class ranked third among all non-reunion classes in total dollars raised with contributions totalling $52,944. 1953's achievements have resulted from Fred's energetic and effective team of Class Agents, effective appeals, and his close attention to organizational detail. The Alumni Fund Committee is privileged to recognize these achievements and to acclaim the Class of 1953 by presenting Fred Stephens with the Harvey P. Hood Trophy Award as the oustanding Head Agent in the 1971 Campaign among classes eleven to twenty-six years out of College.
