Carle Blunt Honored by Alumni Association

Carle Blunt '26, dubbed "King of Scotch and Mayor of Golf," received the College's Alumni Award in November. With reference to Carle's "D" in swimming and his Phi Beta Kappa key, the citation marking the award went on to men- tion his service to Dartmouth in these words:

". . Your Class and the College are grateful for your service as memorial fund chairman, 1951-57. chairman, 25th Reunion Giving, member of the Development Council National Steering Committee, Major Gifts Committee of the Third Century Fund, President of Association of Dartmouth Alumni of Dartmouth College 1951-52, and member of the Alumni Council in 1951-54. . . ."
