Charles E. Dickerson II, a 1965 graduate of Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, has been named Assistant Vice President in the office of Donald L. Kreider, Vice President and Dean of Student Affairs.

Since 1970 Mr. Dickerson has been assistant professor of history at Lincoln. In 1971 he also became director of the Black Studies Program. After earning his 8.A., he did graduate work in African Studies at Boston University and, from 1967 to 1971, he studied at the University of Rochester, where he is a doctoral degree candidate.

Mr. Dickerson has been the recipient of undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships from the Pittsburgh Urban League, Lincoln University, the Ford Foundation, and the University of Rochester.
