Detroit had a very successful Dartmouth week. It started off with the customary first Monday lunch. This is turning into quite a comedy hour thus making a pleasant start to the week.
Tuesday night after Jake Crouthamel had given the Dartmouth story to many Michigan potential candidates, we were privileged to visit with him. Wednesday night was a change of pace. Candlelight supper with Professor John Wilmerding of the College brought out even more of our Detroit contingent. John was a guest lecturer at the Detroit Institute of Arts. All in all, a highly exciting, stimulating week.
Then another great luncheon. Tom Candler '45 was pinning down last minute details for the Glee Club Concert. The posters had arrived from the College. Bob Rodgers '42 was setting up picture dates for publicity in various local papers.
Jim Green '57 dropped in from Toledo where he has just been transferred by the Sun Oil Company. Also present were Bud Smith '40, Bob Wangbichler '60, Al Momonee '36, Bill Cooper '66, Dick Spang '67, Dick Brown '29, John Heavenrich '26, and Bill Mackey '49.
Dick Spang has just moved to Detroit, joinng Chartermasters International.
Plans were formulated to greet Ralph Manuel'58, Dean of Freshmen, who will be with us on May 7.
