With what department were "Drs. Brinton, Rosenberg, and Wolfe" associated? the copy editor of Simulation, journal of the Society for Computer Simulation, inquired about the authors of an article that, because of its "interest and timeliness," was being expedited for publication.

The learned gentlemen in question are William T. Brinton '75, Gerald K. Rosenberg '76, and John R. Wolfe '77; their article was "China I: A Model of Growth for the People's Republic of China," a paper written for a course in Environmental Studies last summer term at Dartmouth.

Professor Donella Meadows submitted the paper to Simulation, which accepted it with alacrity for publication in the November issue.

Of the three undergraduates achieving the signal recognition of publication in a scholarly journal, an honor usually expected of faculty members and coveted by graduate students, Brinton is a pre-med and biology honors major; Rosenberg is a political science major headed for law school; and Wolfe, son of Willard E. Wolfe '51, is undertaking a special major in systems analysis.
